Last weekend the Belgian ULM Federation has organized a navigation to Speyer. We visited the Technik Museum. A very nice experience which we recommend to you all. The weekend was very pleasant. 13 Ultralight airplanes were present.

At first we gathered at Büllingen. Briefing was foreseen there around 9:30 a.m. There has been decided to fly with 3 formations and took off around 11 a.m. for a nice flight. Once in Speyer, we parked our ultralights and left the aerfield to the hotel (located next to the museum and the airfield). After the check-in, we visited the museum itself for a few hours.
In the evening, it was time for some real German dinner. The center of the city is on a walking distance from the museum and the airfield. After a 10 to 15 min walk, we noticed that some life performances. The restaurant was awaiting our visit, so we went on. Later in the evening around 11 p.m. there was still room for a beer (or some beers). As the local pubs were mostly closed, the bar in the hotel would be a good alternative. A nice chat with our pilot friends and afterworths a good night sleep.
Sunday, 8.30 a.m.... Pilot's at breakfast and briefing for the return flight at 9 a.m. After the briefing, the FK9 team first prepared the plane for the return flight (fuel, etc...). A short visit to the museum again, look in soms ships, airships until 12:30 p.m.
It's time to gather at the airfield as we head back to Belgium around 1:30 p.m. The low clouds of the morning had left Frankfurt area, so we could fly without risks back to Büllingen. Once there, we had a drink (non alcohol off course) and the return to Ursel (EBUL) began by a last stop at Baisy Thy (EBBY) as our car was on that aerodrome. It was around 6 p.m. we returned at our home base. Time for a refreshing beer and some story telling ;).
Anyway, it was a very nice navigation and we would especially want to thank Alain Devuyst from the federation who has been preparing and organizing this navigation in a very professional way!
